Brodie lands new Scottish 400m Document
New Scottish U20 Males’s 400m champion Dylan McCulloch needs to stay looking to emulate Brodie Younger.
Brodie broke the Scottish Document for the gap indoors over the weekend with a surprising 45.46 efficiency.
Pitreavie AAC athlete Dylan adopted that up together with his personal PB and Championship Very best Efficiency on the Emirates to win gold in 47.85 (his earlier indoor PB were 48.73).
‘‘I ran a 200m PB a couple of weeks ago so my coach (Francis Smith) felt sure I could improve the 400m and in fact he told me what I could run today – and I did!’ grinned Dylan.
‘I am so happy with 47.85 and a Championship Best. I know I’ve extra development to make however confidently that places me up in opposition to GB and NI picks later within the 12 months.
‘The objective used to be to return out laborious at the first lap and I did that. I felt at ease in the market working that tempo.
‘I check out Brodie Young’s performances at all times and watch them on-line. I need to be like him, Each time he makes development then I need to make development myself.
‘Brodie is someone I look at and think – that’s one thing to attempt for when I’m older.’
